The Mong (or H'mong) have a population of more than 558,000 inhabitants living in the highland regions. Mong language belongs to the H'mong-Dao Group. 
The Mong live mainly on nomadic cultivation of burnt- over land. They also grow rice and corn on terraced fields. The principal food plants are corn, rice grown on burnt-over land and rye. Apart from these, they grow linen plants to supply fibres for cloth weaving and medicinal plants. The Mong families rear cattle, dogs, horses and chickens.     The Khang have about 4,000 inhabitants living in Son La and Lai Chau provinces.  
The Khang mainly practice slash-and-burn cultivation with traditional techniques such as: to dig holes and put seeds into the holes. They grow plenty of sticky rice to serve as their staple food. They also do farming. on a few of terraced fields. Animal husbandry is popular. Their basketry articles including chairs, baskets, flat baskets, suitcases, packs and wooden boats in swallow-tail shape-are much liked by the Thai.

Receive your Visa Approval Letter
After we have received your payment we will apply for your Visa on Arrival. It will usually take 2 or 3 working days before approval. After approval we will email you the so called Visa Approval Letter. This is the official document that allows you to visit Vietnam during the period you have applied for. You need to print out this form and bring it with you to Vietnam and show it to the immigration officer.

Fill out the Application form
And the final paperwork you have to complete is filling out the Application Form for each visitor and attach a passport-size photograph. You can download here the Application Form in JPEG image or in PDF (Adobe Acrobat).

Fly to Vietnam. Collect and pay for your visa at the airport immigration office.
When you arrive in Vietnam at the airport, find the immigration office where you can collect your visa. Give them your passport(s), Visa Approval Letter(s) and the Application Form(s) and pay the Stamp Fee. For single entry visa this is US$25,-. For multiple entry visa the Stamp fee is US$50,- per person.

Checklist
Checklist of items to bring to Vietnam for pick up of your visa:
  • Print-out of your visa approval letter.
  • A passport valid for at least 6 months after your date of arrival in Vietnam.
  • Passport should have at least one blank page where the Visa sticker can be placed.
  • Filled in application form with passport-size photograph attached. The photograph must be taken within the last 6 months. Both B/W and colour are allowed.
  • Cash US$ to pay for the visa stamp fee at the immigration office (US$25,- for single entry,  US$50,- for multiple entry visa).
  • A pen.
